The St. Ignatius Hospital building once again played host to visitors over the weekend.
LiveSciFi.tv, a paranormal investigation group based in Los Angeles, traveled to Colfax Friday, Dec. 18, to tour the inside of the St. Ignatius Hospital building at Colfax.
The group had planned to spend one night – Saturday – in the vacant hospital building to conduct a paranormal investigation. What they found did not disappoint, according to Valoree Gregory, Colfax unified executive director.
Gregory has previously organized tours in the days leading up to Halloween and three weeks ago as part of the Colfax Winterfest.
“They did a paranormal investigation Saturday and Sunday night because they had so much activity,” she reported. “They were surprised!”
Gregory took the group on a tour of the building Saturday afternoon before they returned around 10 p.m. that night to conduct their investigation. They remained in the building for about four hours. They repeated the routine the second night.
The group had also previously planned to leave Monday after their investigation, but they re-booked their plane tickets to accommodate their extra night. Two members of the group live in Los Angeles, one lives in Kansas and the other resides in Maryland.
They filmed their excursion into St. Ignatius and will now put their material together for their YouTube channel. They told Gregory that the show will air sometime in January. She said she plans to post the link to the Colfax Chamber Facebook page for the community to be able to see once it is online.
