Ready, set, roll!

Jennings students gathered in the gym Friday for a “can race” in which students competed head-to-head to see whose can could cross the line the quickest. The can race followed the week-long Jennings food drive. Students donated 2,464 food items totaling 2,144 pounds for the Colfax Pantry. Earlier in the week, individual classes held their own can races to determine which student would represent each class at the assembly. Here, special education teacher Jason Cooper directs students in the can race. Fourth grader Lauren York was the overall winner.
