Santa renews Farmington tradition

Aubrey Bondurant sits on Santa's knee at the Farmington Fire Station Dec. 18. The appearance was part of a revival of a tradition in Farmington, which once featured school buses making a Santa stop at the fire station after picking up children on the last day before Christmas break. The bus stopped at the station where kids visited Santa and then got back on the bus to go home.

“That's not done anymore because of liability,” said Adelle Hurley Bondurant, mother of Aubrey. “We're just trying to keep that tradition alive. It's one of my fondest memories as a kid.”
