Colton, Touchet unbeaten at break

Going into Christmas break, Colton and Touchet remain unbeaten headed toward their first of two league games Jan. 8 at Colton. Touchet is the only 1B team to give the Wildcats a scare late in a fourth quarter in more than a year. Colton beat the Indians 58-54 in the district championship game last February.

Colton 74, Garfield-Palouse 23

Colton made it 78-straight wins Tuesday night as Zoe Moser and MaryAnn Jacobs both scored 17 points and Dakota Patchen had 15. Rachel Meyer added six points and eight rebounds.

Payson Griner led Gar-Pal with 12 points while Katie Arrasmith scored seven.

St. John-Endicott 57, Garfield-Palouse 45

Gracie Dickerson paced the Eagles with 21 points and 14 rebounds in a win at Palouse Dec. 19.

Katie Arrasmith added 13 points and Jaedan Askins 7.

Payson Griner led Gar-Pal with 20 points in the Southeast 1B league game.

Colton 68, Pomeroy 30

Zoe Moser scored 21 points to lead the Wildcats as they dismissed Pomeroy in Colton.

Leading 43-19 at halftime, after Colton hit nine three-pointers, it continued in the second half. The Wildcats led at one point by 43 points.

Rachel Meyer scored 10 points, with 11 rebounds, while MaryAnn Jacobs had 13 points and Meghan Devorak 11.

Pomeroy dropped to 5-1 overall with the loss (2-1 league). Ireland Mayfield led the Pirates with 13 points.

Touchet 57, Garfield-Palouse 35

Cierra Jo McKeown led Touchet (5-0, 2-0) with 25 points and Katie Skramstad scored 14 as the Indians beat Gar-Pal (2-4, 0-3) Dec. 18.

Payson Griner led the Vikings with 14 points, six rebounds and three assists while Keely Burnes scored seven points.

Colton 54, Liberty Christian 30

Zoe Moser scored 13 points and MaryAnn Jacobs added 12 as the Wildcats beat Liberty Christian in Richland Dec. 18.

St. John-Endicott 66, LaCrosse-Washtucna/Kahlotus 19

Jadyn Corder was the high-scorer for the Eagles with 19 points and eight rebounds as S.J.E. won at home over the Tigercats (1-4, 0-3). Gracie Dickerson added 14 points and eight rebounds for St. John-Endicott (3-2, 1-1).

Pomeroy 59, Oakesdale 42

Sydney Smith's 25 points led the Pirates as Kacey Halbert added 18 as the Pirates (3-3, 1-1) beat the visiting Nighthawks. Jacey Johnson led Oakesdale with 16 points.

Touchet 51, Oakesdale 40

Cierra Jo McKeown's 28 points took the Indians to 3-0 with a victory at Oakesdale (4-3, 0-2). Jacey Johnson led the Nighthawks with 16 points and Logan Reed added 12.
