Local wrestlers win 15 at Colfax

Reggie Jones took flight last Wednesday in his match with Ky Adams of Waitsburg. Jones eventually took the win in the 145-pound class.

Colfax Dec. 16 hosted a mix and match meet for area teams in three rounds of competition on two mats. The meet also honored the four seniors on the team this year, Mitch Barney, Brian DeYoung, Reggie Jones and Nick McAdams. DeYoung was not able to participate because of an injury.

The meet totaled 44 matches over the three rounds with the Bulldogs and Garfield/Palouse wrestlers paired in 25 matches. They booked 15 wins and 10 defeats. Barney and Travis Knauff of Palouse each posted 3-0 marks over the three rounds.

Wrestlers from Waitsburg, Lind/Ritzville/Sprague, Reardan and Liberty participated in the evets.
