Big Sky names Gfeller

Colfax hoop grad Brandon Gfeller has been named Big Sky Player of the Week after his University of Montana team opened conference play last week with wins on the road at Northern Arizona and Southern Utah. Gfeller, a junior at Montana, averaged 22.5 points in the two conference wins. He hit 24 to lead all scorers in the double-overtime win over Northern Arizona. Gfeller shot 57 percent from the field and 58 percent from behind the three-point line.
