Whitman Hospital earns 5-star rating

Whitman Hospital in Colfax has achieved a five star rating for patient experience by Medicare, according to Hank Hanigan, hospital CEO. Patient survey results show that Whitman Hospital rated above the Washington and national average in all 11 categories set forth by Medicare.

The survey of patients’ experiences, known as the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems, has been used since 2006 to measure patients' perspective of hospital care.
