Church meeting held at Dusty

The annual meeting of Country Bible Church will be Sunday after the church service. Participants are asked to bring a sack lunch.

Jillene Lambert Mitz, daughter of the late Don and Jerry Lambert, who used to own the Dusty Service Station and later, the William’s Lake Resort, died on Tuesday, Jan. 5, in Tustin, Calif. She and her husband Oren Mitz, who is originally from Kahlotus, were married for 32 years. Jillene was a cousin of Vicki Broeckel and Sharry O’Hearne. Berniece Krom and Don Lambert were siblings.

Nikki Caldwell, daughter of the late Jack and Virginia Caldwell, former Whitman County residents, died Dec. 28 in Pomeroy at the age of 67. Nikki’s father Jack was a cousin of the late Berniece Krom.

David and Phyllis Stueckle spent last Wednesday and Thursday in Coeur d’Alene at the home of their children, Doug and Cheryl Stueckle. They went to visit with their grandson and his wife, Nathan and Rebecca Stueckle from San Antonio, Texas, who were visiting for a week.

Kim and Cindy Pitts spent Friday and Saturday in Spokane at the home of their daughter’s family, Amanda and Erik Carlson. They watched grandsons Rafe, 8, and Tate, 6, play basketball in a recreation league.
