County 1B girls: Colton advances to 12-1, 7-0

The Colton girls asserted their hold on the Southeast 1B league with wins over Oakesdale and L/W/K.

Colton 78, Oakesdale 38

Freshman Dakota Patchen scored 18 points to lead Colton in a Southeast 1B league blowout of Oakesdale.

A total of nine players scored for the Wildcats (12-1, 7-0), with Meghan Devorak scoring 18, and Zoe Moser 12. Patchen came off the bench, as well as another freshman, Jordan Moehrle, who scored five points.

Jacey Johnson led Oakesdale scorers with 10 points.

Garfield/Palouse 64, LaCrosse/Washtucna/ Kahlotus 14

Payson Griner's 24 points led the Vikings (6-7) Tuesday night at LaCrosse as Katie Arrasmith added 17 points.

Alynn Harder led LaCrosse/Washtucna with six points while Jazzmyn Gordon scored five.

Colton 65, LaCrosse/Washtucna/ Kahlotus 8

Playing at Washtucna last Friday, the Colton girls built their league record to 8-0, leading 26-4 at the end of the first quarter.

MaryAnn Jacobs and Dakota Patchen led the Wildcats with 11 points each while Zoe Moser added eight points and eight assists. Patchen also posted five assists while Rachel Meyer contributed eight points and six rebounds.

Garfield/Palouse 60, Oakesdale 44

Sophomore Payson Griner delivered 27 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Vikings (5-8, 2-6) at Oakesdale last Saturday. Keely Burnes and Emmy Gregg added eight points.

Lindsey Lindgren led Oakesdale (8-6, 3-5) with 15 points in the game while Ann Hockett scored 10.

Gar-Pal lost previously to Oakesdale Dec. 12 42-30.

Touchet 66, St. John/Endicott 38

Cierra Jo McKeown scored 30 points as the Indians dismissed S.J.E. Last Saturday at Touchet. Katie Skramstad added 15 points for Touchet. Gracie Dickerson led St. John-Endicott with 19 points.

St. John/Endicott 56, Pomeroy 49

Late in the game, the Eagles' 11-point lead dissipated but they were able to pull out the win last Friday at Pomeroy.

Gracie Dickerson and Abby Glorfield led St. John-Endicott (7-6, 3-4) with 17 points each while Jadyn Corder added 15.

Sydney Smith led Pomeroy with 24 points.

Garfield/Palouse 60, LaCrosse/ Washtucna/Kahlotus 17

Katie Arrasmith scored 19 points with 12 rebounds and Keely Burnes added 10 points, four steals and four assists as Gar-Pal (4-8, 1-6) beat the Tigercats (2-8, 0-7) last Friday.

Payson Griner added 11 points for Garfield/Palouse.
