Tekoa/Rosalia Timberwolves will travel to Northwest Christian tonight for their lone NE league game booked this week.
The TR girls, who pegged their first league win last week against Reardan, topped Wilbur/Creston 41-35 Tuesday at Rosalia for their second NE league win. Nikki Overton hit 11 points, and Tommia Pakootas hit three 3-point shots. The Timberwolves trailed by six points after the first frame, but hit 17 in the second quarter to take the lead.
Saturday, the Timberwolves took a 12-3 Davenport team into overtime before sustaining a 43-49 loss. The Gorillas scored six points in the extra frame to decide the game.
Tatiana Mendoza's three-point shot just before the buzzer kept TR's upset bid alive with a 43-43 tie in regular time. Mendoza finished with 109 points, and Pakootas hit 13.
Friday at Kettle Falls, the Timberwolves sustained a 50-68 loss to the Bulldogs. Pakootas hit 13 at Kettle and Overton hit 10.
Wilbur/Creston boys took a 52-39 win Tuesday at Rosalia with Dorian Jaeger hitting 23 points with four three-points shots. Cooper Angelo hit 13 for the T-Wolves, and Cade Holling hit 10.
Friday at Kettle, the hosts took out the Timberwolves 72-56.
