Whitman County Planning issued a Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (Chapter 197-11 WAC) for the following project:

A bank stabilization project along the South Fork of the Palouse River and Fourmile Creek. This project intends to install a 50 foot riparian buffer on approximately 12 acres of land and 6,700 stream feet. Bio-engineered bank stabilization structures will be installed along a 300 foot span along Fourmile Creek. The location of the project is just to the north of the intersection of Shawnee Road and the Albion-Parvin Road where Fourmile Creek joins the South Fork of the Palouse River, in Section 33, Township 16 N., Range 44 E., W. M., Whitman County, Washington.

After review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with us, the Planning Office has determined that this proposal will not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment.

Copies of the DNS are available at no charge from the Planning Office, Whitman County Public Service Building (2nd Floor), N. 310 Main St., Colfax, WA 99111.
