St. John Principal Mark Purvine and librarian Kay Riehle announced Friday that St. John Elementary School will receive 53 new non-fiction books focusing on science. This collection derives from a "The Future STEMS from Reading" grant from the Washington State Library. According to Riehle, the books are replacing much of an outdated and well-loved science section. The district expects to receive the books within the next two weeks.
