WSU student seeks info on GI Bill grads

Claire Thornton, a WSU junior from Tonasket, is seeking information about the impact of the GI Bill at the university, then Washington State College, in preparation for writing an honors program thesis. In the immediate years following World War II, the program resulted in a boom in student population and influx of veterans on campus.

Thornton would like to interview veterans or nonveteran graduates from the years 1945-1952. She would also like to obtain information from spouses, children and friends of alumni and professors.
