Serving Whitman County since 1877
A hands-on program designed for teachers, providers, librarians and others interested in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) concepts for preschoolers will be March 12 from 10-2 p.m. This training is designed to help adults become more comfortable in teaching these concepts to preschoolers. Attendees also learn how to develop lesson plans and ways to engage families with young kids in STEM activities.
The training is provided by a grant to the Spokane County Library District from Thrive Washington, Spokane STEM and the Inland Northwest Early Learning Alliance. Trainer, Mary Ellen Braks is offering free, four hours of STARS credits under the grant provisions. Call Sheri Miller at the Colfax Library by March 10 to register. Space is limited.
