Straughan to transfer

Former Colton High star Josh Straughan will transfer from NCAA Division II Stillman College after playing at quarterback to Southern Illinois, a Football Championship Subdivision school division AA school in Carbondale which competes in the Missouri Valley Football Conference.

Straughan's transfer is under the NCAA's graduate transfer rule, which allows a player at a school without a graduate program, or one in their major, to transfer to another school and be eligible immediately as opposed to the customary one-year waiting period....
