Dale and Vicki Broeckel joined Mike and Michelle Carver in attending the international cat show, “On Safari,” in Spokane Saturday. As many as 225 cats from the United States and around the world came from as far as Europe, Australia and South America. The show featured all breeds of cats, but highlighted the Bengals, known for their stunning coat which mimics that of leopards.
Funeral services for Berniece Wigen, sister-in-law of the late Gilford Wigen, were Feb. 12 in Rockford. She is survived by her husband Kenneth; two sons, Keith and Kevin; four grandsons; and several great-grandchildren. Linda Hennigar sang for her aunt’s services. Also paying their respects were Jim Moore, Gloria and Norm Erickson, Goldie Foss, Elaine Hogan, and Tami and Jay Banks. A reception followed the services, and later the family gathered at the home of Berniece’s son, Keith Wigen.
Last week, Linda Hennigar spent from Monday to Wednesday visiting her daughter’s family, Tami, Jay and Wesley Banks in Kennewick.
Dick and Helen Appel and Neil, Liz, Josh, Noemi, Issac and John Paul Appel attended the 10th birthday dinner for Miriam Frei. It was held at the home of her parents, Travis and Lisa Frei. Also attending were Miriam’s sisters Rachel, Emma and Colette.
