Lice at Endicott school contained

The Endicott school recently faced a small outbreak of lice, causing the school to send infected students home and send letters to families in the district informing them of the outbreak.

Principal Bruce Porubek said the outbreak was small, and though not something that happens every year, not uncommon.

Porubek said if lice was identified in any student, that student was sent home and stayed home until the lice cleared up.

“They stayed home, and we checked them again when they came back just to make sure,” he said.
