The legislature has been buckling down to work in dead earnest with the last few remaining days of the session, and considerable work, although of a routine character, is being accomplished. Only four more days remain, and there is a disposition on the part of all to finish up their calendar by the end of the session.
Among other things satisfactorily demonstrated since your correspondent's last letter, is the fact that Whitman county will not be segregated at this session of the legislature.
