in Dahmen exhibit
The upcoming exhibit at Dahmen Barn, titled “Potluck, features work of eight University of Idaho Master of Fine Art students. The exhibit opens March 31 and runs through Sunday, April 24. The artists at the reception will be Sunday, April 3, from 1 to 3 p.m.
The artists have selected work from different varied themes and are exploring mediums from ceramics to drawing and painting, to performance and mixed media and back again. The artworks on view are a direct expression of the artists’ lives and their individual creative concerns.
'Anything Goes'
to open at RTOP
"Anything Goes," the Cole Porter award winning Broadway Musical, will open April 7 and run through April 17 at the RTOP Theatre, 122 N. Grand Blvd. in Pullman. The eight-time Tony Award winner and winner of Best Revival of a Musical in 2011 includes hits "I Get a Kick Out of You," "You're the Top," "It's De-Lovely" and "Blow, Gabriel, Blow.”
Tickets may be purchased at the RTOP Box Office.
Chocolate tasting
at Bank Left
The eighth annual chocolate tasting experience will be at Bank Left Bistro/Gallery in Palouse April 9 from noon to 2 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Participants can experience drinking chocolates and truffles from around the world with lunch or dinner and art exhibit. This year the Bank Left Bistro will feature Spanish Drinking Chocolates, French Truffles and a French/Italian dinner.
Reservations are required, $18 plus tax per person
The art exhibit is free and open to the public.

Security filing
Colfax Library will present a one-time special workshop on retirement and social security from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, at the Colfax Library. Bill Skavdahl, financial advisor with Waddell & Reed, will present the program. The free workshop requires pre-registration with the deadline set for Friday.
Climate
change class
Examine the basic science of climate change along with the political and social solutions with Peter Haug at the Colfax Library on Wednesdays, April 6 and 13, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Cost for this two-week class through Community Colleges of Spokane is $11.

Whitman County Library's annual Penny Drive will be April 10-25 in honor of National Library Week. Each of the 14 library branches collects money to fund educational programs or projects that are vital to their location.
Whitman County Library celebrates the contributions of its loyal customers and dedicated staff during this special annual event.
Many school classrooms and local daycares help to gather coins and compete for an ice cream party. The celebration is hosted by the Friends of Whitman County Library featuring games, treats and the Reading Bear.

Rosalia
Garden Club
The April meeting will be Sunday, April 3, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the home of Lillian Fulton. The Sunday afternoon meeting is to promote attendance for working members and guests.
Program information will be available on the Rosalia High School FFA Horticulture program and what plants will be available at their upcoming plant sale starting April 25.
Club members will observe Arbor Day by a special shrub planting of Simplicity Red Roses around the special rock honoring veterans in the mini-park Monday, April 4, at 1 p.m.

Pullman LWV
Pullman League of Women Voters will meet Monday, April 11, 6:30 to 9 p.m to hear updates on the elementary school project from Ned Warnick, and Dan Hornfelt and on the Pullman High School construction project from Joe Thornton.
Next brown bag session will be Thursday, April 21, 12-1 p.m. at Community Congregational Church, 525 NE Campus Street, Pullman. Parking available in lot next to church.
Program topic will be Residential Xeriscaping.

Chapter AF met March 28 at the home of Linda Marler, hostess and co-hostess. Sixteen members responded to roll call by telling how they spent Easter.
New Yearbooks were handed out. The theme for the year is The Palouse Empowers Our Lives.
Dana Carroll gave a program on the popularity of adult coloring books.
The next meeting will be April 11 at Peace Lutheran Church with Liane Smith as hostess and co-hostess. Brenda Kneeshaw is in charge of the program.
