Colton takes doubleheader, now 8-0

Colton freshman Reece Chadwick rounds third base as coach Pat Doumit looks on in a 10-0 win against Garfield/Palouse April 1. The Wildcats are off to an 8-0 start in the year, playing a spring break road doubleheader Thursday against Waterville.

Going into their spring break trip to Moses Lake for a doubleheader against Waterville, the Colton baseball team is 8-0 (4-0 league).

Carter Dahmen threw 18 strikeouts in six innings against Garfield/Palouse last Friday in a 10-3 win. Brady Chadwick followed in the doubleheader's second game, throwing 11 strikeouts in five innings for a 10-0 win.

“Our defense watched our pitchers strike out a lot of guys,” said Colton coach Pat Doumit.

Dahmen also led the Wildcats at bat with five hits on the day while Chadwick had three in the second game. Grant Kinzer hit a two-run home run as well. Nine different Colton players posted hits.
