The 18th Ride Around Washington will stop in Palouse for two nights in August.
The annual bike ride, put on by Cascade Bike Club of Seattle, will start in Walla Walla July 31. The 437-mile route will end in Metalline Falls Aug. 5.
“It’s not exactly a straight shot,” said Stacey Nakagawa, event producer. “We make it very scenic.”
For this year’s ride, participants will spend two nights in Palouse at Hayton Greene Park with a rest day Aug. 2. An optional ride that day will go to the top of Steptoe Butte.
