Pomona meet

Whitman County Pomona Grange will meet at Johnson Grange May 7 beginning at 10 a.m. A potluck dinner will be served at noon.

State entries will be judged. Categories are sewing, photography and all crafts. Winners will be judged again in June at the state convention.

Morrie opening

"Tuesdays With Morrie" will open May 19-21 at Regional Theatre of the Palouse, Pullman. It tells the real life story of a student who connects years later with his college professor.

A special presentation by show partners Friends of Hospice will be May 21 between matinée and evening performances.

A spring performance workshop of "Hansel & Gretel" will be Saturday, May 7, at 2 and 4 p.m.

Summer and Teen Performance Workshops are enrolling now.

Garden fair, raffle

set at Pullman

A spring fair and open house for the Pullman Community Gardens at Koppel Farm will be Saturday, May 14, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., at the corner of Derby St. and Professional Mall Blvd. in Pullman. Bedding and vegetable plants will be on sale and advice on gardening will be available from the Latah County Master Gardeners.

The Fork in the Road Catering truck will be on the scene. A worm composting workshop will be conducted. Whitman County Humane Society, WSU Raptor Club, the Palouse Astronomy Club (with a solar telescope), Palouse Audubon Society, WSU Entomology Club, Backyard Harvest and Community Action Center Edible Landscape representatives will be present.

A raffle for gardening supplies and a gift certificate to Sun Rental will be conducted.

Dahmen seeks

photo entries

All photographers are invited to enter Dahmen Barn's annual photography exhibition, which will feature photos of the Palouse taken in the past year. All of the photos will be displayed June 5 through 26 at the barn in Uniontown. This year a People's Choice cash award of $100 will be featured.

Photos must be delivered no later than 4 p.m. on May 29. The opening reception is scheduled for Sunday, June 5, 1 to 3 p.m.
