Boyer Park is almost ready to open the new additions in the park to the public.

An open house will be June 10 at Boyer Park to view the newly added pirate ship playground, cabins, picnic tables, firepits, gazebo and RV sites to the park. The cabins are already available for the public to rent.

The cabins can be rented for $60 a day Sunday through Thursday, $65 Friday and Saturday and $75 over holiday and special event weekends. There is a two night stay minimum for weekend stays (Friday to Saturday, Saturday to Sunday and Sunday to Monday) and a three night minimum stay for all holiday and special event weekends. The cabins include a queen size bunkbed, built-in dining nook, electrical outlets, refrigerator, microwave and air-conditioning unit. There is also bedding and towels available for rent at the main office of the park.

In addition to the campground, there are 13 RV sites. The rates to rent a site vary from $37 to $45, depending on whether or not it is a partial hookup site, full hookup site (30 amp) or premium full hookup site (50 amp). There are also the options of $400 for a long term spring full hookup site or $500 for a long term winter hookup site.

Also, there is a newly installed sprinkler system to complement the fresh hydroseed, as well as a new drainage and septic system.

“We are excited for everyone to come out June 10 to the open house,” said Kara Reibold, for the port. “There will be ice cream and cake, too!”

New cabins at Boyer Park and Marina are furnished, finished and ready to be rented.

Kara Reibold, center, gives Port of Whitman commissioners a tour of the new cabins and upgrades.

A new gazebo with covered table and benches was also added to the offerings at Boyer Park.
