Citizens salary panel delays decisions

The Citizens Salary Commission gathered in Colfax, Thursday, May 26, for its annual meeting to set elected county official’s salaries. However, the commission postponed its decision in order to gather more information.

The Citizens Commission determines the decision on the average salaries in comparable counties such as Stevens, Okanogan, Douglas and Jefferson Counties. The comparable data they received last week displayed that Whitman is right about even for positions such as the auditor and clerk.
