Bid for fair building roof job approved by commissioners

Whitman County commissioners Monday approved a bid for coating the roof at the events center at the Palouse Empire Fairground.

Fair Manager Bob Reynolds presented the bids to the commissioners and recommended that Simonson Roofing of Clayton be awarded the contract on a bid of $13,015.50 with tax.

“That was the low bid out of all those bidders, and it comes with a 10-year warranty and met all the specifics we asked them to bid on,” Reynolds told the commissioners.
