Appel awarded ag grant

Sarah Appel of Colfax has been awarded a $1,500 "America’s Farmers Grow Ag Leaders" scholarship sponsored by the Monsanto Fund. Appel will attend Washington State University in the fall to pursue a career as a agriculture public relations specialist.

Grow Ag Leaders encourages rural youth to remain in the agriculture industry and provides 352 scholarships to support students' post high school ag education.
