Top readers win bicycles

Yvanna Lawton and Braxden Gransbery, two Jennings Elementary School second-graders, each won a bike June 7 for being the top readers in their class this year. The prizes came from the Colfax Masonic Lodge “Books for Bikes” program and were presented by Colfax Masonic Lodge master John Henry. A total of 40 kids, led by teachers Bobbi Mackleit and Bev Stubbers, participated.
