Garfield class of of 1986 marks 30-year reunion

The last high school class to graduate from Garfield High School came together Saturday, June 11, to commemorate their graduation 30 years ago.

All but an international exchange student and one other were unable to attend, making a total of 12 of the 14.

They spent a couple of hours wandering the halls of the school and dined together at the local Legion Hall.

Memorabilia consisting of annuals, photos, newspaper clippings, school dance shots, art class projects and calendars were displayed among the tables.

They told stories of the silly things and the crazy antics of living and growing up in a small town and shared stories of how their lives have gone.

They exchanged cell phone numbers, emails and mailing addresses to keep in touch.
