Many readers will be surprised that Gwen Oldenberg, pharmacist at Tick Klock Drug for more than 48 years, lives nearer Pullman than Colfax. When she came to Washington State University, she found her home and stayed here.

Born in Vancouver, B.C., Gwen lived New York as a toddler, but she was in Tacoma for her school years. She loved school there and was ready for high school at Stadium Way when her parents surprised her by moving to Gig Harbor. She went to Peninsula High School.
