2B All-league honors

Four Colfax softball players were named for NE all-league honors during presentations at the district playoff.

Colfax catcher Lindsey Lindgren, back row fourth from left, and pitcher/shortstop Abbie Miller, back row seventh from left, were named to the first team.

Colfax players named to the second team, were Cheyanne Stokes, front row second from left, second base, and Roxanne Allenbach, front row seventh from left, third base.

Other first team NE players for the league (back row, not in order) included Olivia Beardslee, Makayla Hall and Kendall Elliott, Kettle Falls; Mattea Nelson, Alexys and Amree Tibbetts, Northwest Christian; Teresa Ditiuri and Elish Smith, Mary Walker of Springdale.

Other second team players (front row, not in order) included Jordan Rabe and Elie Frey, Northwest Christian; Amber Starzman and Barbara Elliott, Wilbur/Creston; Emily Kinney, Lind/Ritzville/Sprague; and Sydney Zeiler, Davenport. Sara Frost, Tekoa/Rosalia catcher, was also named to the second team.

Five Colfax players and coach Mike Parrish received all-league honors for the NE baseball league.

Coach Parrish, at right in the back row, and coach Mike Wootton of St. George’s, back left, shared coach of the year honors.

Colfax junior Danny Robinson, in the back row next to Coach Wootton, was named Most Valuable Player for the league.

Other first-team players in the back row for Colfax, from the left, were Parker Huber, Cal Gregory and Dustyn Hall.

Logan Gingerich, front row, sixth from left, was named to the second team.

Other first-team all-leaguers in the back, from the left, are Nathan Sanders, Northwest Christian; Loran Boggs, Daverport; Issac Workman and Michail Thew, St. George’s; Dorian Jaeger, Wilbur/Creston and Jack Pottratz, Liberty.

Other second team members in front, not in order, were Nathan Jones, Joey Biel, Tyler Magni and Bryan Carrozzo, Northwest Christain; Alex Watkins and Zach Steele, St. George’s; Tyler Haas, Liberty and Jason Townsend, Wilbur/Creston.

The all-league team was named at the league playoffs in Medical Lake.
