Thursday, June 30

Rosalia – 10:15 a.m. – ‘50s Fun – Kids of all ages are welcome to this fun event. Prizes will be given for 50’s style clothes and hair-dos.

Tekoa – 12 to 1 p.m. – Summer Reading musical fun in Tekoa with guest librarian and music teacher Lisa. Make Pan Flutes and learn all about making music.

Saturday, July 2

Albion – 12 to 1:30 p.m. – Rocket Balloons – Join us on the grass outside of the city building with special guest Nancy Peterson while she leads us in some active experiments with balloons that travel fast.

Sunday, July 3

All Branches – Closed in observance of July 4th.

Albion – 12 to 2 – Library Book Sale – All kinds of books for sale and every book is $1.

Endicott – 6:00 p.m. – Kiddie Bike Parade – All kiddos are invited to participate in the Endicott Library Parade. Meet at 5:45 pm behind the concession building at the Endicott school. Prizes awarded for best decorations.

Tuesday, July 5

Palouse – 9:30 a.m. – Palouse Discovery Science Center – Fun science at the Library.

Endicott – 11:00 a.m. – Family Playdough Challenge – Come to the library have fun with Play-Dough and get a book for Summer Reading.

Farmington – 2:30 – All About Bugs – Big ones, little ones, flying or crawling. What do they do – are they helpful or harmful?

Baptist Church Parking Lot – 4:00 – Bike rodeo – 200 N. Mill in Colfax – Kids of all ages are encouraged to bring their bikes to the Baptist Church parking lot where they will take part in a host of fun and important free activities.

Wednesday, July 6

LaCrosse – 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. – Yoga for Kids – Suzy McNeilly will be teaching yoga for the kiddos in the City Park unless the weather is bad then they will move to the library.

Garfield – 1 p.m. – The WSU raptor club will be at the library. We will explore the way different animals move in nature.

St. John – 1 p.m. – Fuel Up Your Body – We will learn about the importance on eating a balanced diet and getting enough rest.

Oakesdale & Uniontown – More summer reading fun! Check out the web site for more information and times.

Palouse – 6:30 – The Candy Games – Ages 12 and up are invited to this FREE FUN evening of Candy Trivia. You will have fun and be rewarded with CANDY!!

Malden – 7 p.m. – Alphabet Soup – “fueling your engine" for summer fun through healthy nutrition. It is designed for kids in elementary school but should be fun for all ages with games, stories and of course a healthy snack.

Thursday, July 7

Rosalia – 10:15 a.m. – Alphabet Soup.

Tekoa – 12 to 1 p.m. – Get Buggy at the Library – There will be LEGO relays and parachute pops, and fun with fleas, cockroaches, praying mantis, spiders and more in this live and preserved display with WSU insect specialists.

Farmington – 2:30 p.m. – Steve Van Vleet from WSU Extension Office will be at the library to show his collection of insects.
