DOE deadline nears on Garfield sewer plant

Garfield's 90-day notice to hire a Level II Operator for its wastewater treatment plant ends July 13. Soon after, the state Department of Ecology is expected to evaluate the situation.

“I imagine there will be some flexibility in there,” said DOE spokesperson Brooke Beeler. “That week or the following, we'll do some follow-up with them.”
