Town of Rosalia appoints new council members

The Town of Rosalia June 28 appointed John Lautenslager and Eric Eilertson to fill two vacancies created when councilman Ernie Witte died June 3 and councilwoman Paige Collins moved from Rosalia to LaCrosse.

The first vacancy had been expected to be filled in early June, but Witte’s passing, Collins’ move and a hospitalized councilman meant the five-member council was down to two members, so there were not enough members to make appointments at that time.
