Rep. McMorris-Rodgers plans stop in Colfax

Congresswoman Cathy McMorris-Rodgers will appear in Colfax Tuesday, July 26, to meet with veterans from 3-4 p.m. at the community room at Umpqua Bank.

The event is sponsored by the Colfax American Legion.

“She just wants to discuss veterans' issues with local veterans,” said Roy Lord, finance officer for the Colfax Legion. “It's not a political endorsement, it's a veterans' opportunity.”

Lord hopes the meeting will draw as many former service members as possible.

“There'll be some conflict with the farmers with harvest, but we'll try to do what we can,” he said.

McMorris-Rodgers is running for a seventh term in the House of Representatives.
