Library maintenance set

All 14 branches of Whitman County Library will be closed August 1-7 for annual maintenance week. During the closure, projects will be performed that are difficult to complete when the library is open, including carpet cleaning in a number of locations, painting of the Garfield Branch and installation of new carpeting in the Oakesdale Library.

During the weeklong closure, due dates for library materials have been extended and no late fines will be charged. Book drops will remain open in all locations.

Access to the library's catalog, downloadable audio and e-books, subscription databases like Consumer Reports, foreign language instruction and the online librarian will still be available by visiting the library's website:
