Music in the country

A large crowd brought blankets and lawn chairs to Heyton-Greene Park in Palouse Saturday to hear a day of concerts at the music festival presented by the Palouse Arts Council. Seven different groups performed on the stage in a show which started at 11 a.m. and wrapped up at 8 p.m. At lower left, Lizzie Stout of Palouse and Izzy Burns of Moscow sing while accompanied by Matt Zook, Garfield/Palouse music instructor. Student groups played during intervals between the bands and other groups. At right, Ben Walden of the Elusives plays guitar while his blue sunglasses reflect the morning light hitting the park. The festival included vendors and food services in the park.
