Stuff the Bus starts next week

A school supply collection drive led by the Kiwanis Clubs of Pullman and Moscow will soon begin on the Palouse. The eighth annual “Stuff the Bus” drive is slated for next week from Aug. 11-13.

The drive is expected to be able to help more than 1,000 families in the Palouse have school supplies.

The Kiwanis clubs are seeking donations from the public in order to be able to pull this off.

Yellow school buses will be at Dissmore's in Pullman, and Staples and Eastside Marketplace in Moscow on Aug. 11 from 2 to 5 p.m., Aug. 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Aug. 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The bus will also be at Rosauer's in Colfax on Aug. 11 from 4 to 6 p.m., Aug. 12 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Aug. 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Additionally, Colton will have a bus in the downtown area from 9 a.m. to noon on Aug. 13.

There will also be donation boxes at several local businesses. These boxes will be available during business hours from Aug. 8 to Aug. 13.

In Pullman, the locations are the Neill Public Library, Columbia Bank and Washington State Employees Credit Union, which includes both the Bishop Boulevard and WSU campus locations. In Moscow, the locations include the Eastside Marketplace/Dollar Store and Staples. The Colton Childcare Center, Dave's Golf Shop and Banner Bank in Colton and Rolling Hills Eye Care, Whitman County Library and Whitman Hospital in Colfax will have boxes as well.
