Norman and Gloria Erickson celebrate 50th anniversary

Gloria Stueckle, Dusty, met Norm Erickson in Cameroon, Africa, where he lived on the mission field with his parents and younger brothers. Gloria went there to teach the elementary age children of the missionary families.

They were married Aug, 5, 1966, at Selbu Lutheran Church outside of LaCrosse.

After they were married they lived in various locations while he was in the Air Force. They settled in Seattle for a few years and then came to Dusty in 1981 where Norm farmed Gloria's family land and operated an agricultural and automotive parts business. They are now retired and live in Colfax. They have four children and eight grandchildren: Drew Erickson - Seattle; Dana and Aaron Repp, Derek and Darin - Dusty; Kjirsti and Ryan Nilsen, Owan, Clara, Elsie and Annie, Torrington, Conn .; Ronda and Brian Clark, Chloe and Hannah - Glendale, Ariz.

They celebrated their 50th anniversary with family and close friends during an afternoon gathering at Onecho Bible Church in June when all their children could be home to honor them.
