USDA announces important crop insurance deadlines

The USDA in Spokane Monday announced important crop insurance deadlines which are nearing. The Risk Management Agency (RMA) of the USDA is reminding producers to apply for crop insurance coverage for the 2017 crop year before sales closing dates. This also applies to current policy holders wishing to make changes to existing coverage.

“It is critical that producers make their decisions now even though it’s not until the next crop year,” said Jo Lynne Seufer, risk management specialist with the USDA RMA office in Spokane.
