Zoning revision session set for Monday

A public hearing will be Monday, Aug. 15, for some revisions to county zoning at 11 a.m. at the Whitman County Courthouse.

The county, which zones unincorporated areas, is set to consider amendments which may expand the scope of what type of businesses are allowed within certain zones.

The revisions would address specific situations such as a property at State Route 27 and Albion Road north of Pullman.

A realtor made a comment this spring to County Planner Alan Thomson about the difficulty in renting/selling a property at the spot, now zoned as light industrial.
