Charlie Brown

set for RTOP

The Broadway musical "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" will open at Regional Theatre of the Palouse in Pullman Aug. 18 and run until Aug. 28. Performances will be Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

The theatre box office is open Monday through Friday, noon to 5 p.m.

The show features the “Peanuts” gang, created by Charles Schulz, singing and philosophizing through vignettes including a nail-biting baseball game, a daunting book report and separation anxiety from one’s favorite blanket.

The story of underdog Charlie Brown is endearing, stylishly directed and a great show to take children to. Adults without five-year-olds will love it too. Reminiscent of the ‘60s comic, beloved characters are there on stage, still obsessed with the insecurities, doubts, innocence, childlike wisdom and pure joy that childhood is heir to. This production is based on the latest award winning Broadway Musical and includes new songs and old favorites with Linus, Lucy, Snoopy, Sally and of course, Charlie Brown.

Directed by John Rich, the cast includes Luke Schwendiman (Snoopy), Lindsey Rivera (Sally), Olivia Calza (Lucy), Michael Todd (Schroeder), Jett Bingman (Charlie Brown) and Adam Berenter (Linus.)
