Scott Henry, a member of the Colfax High School class of 1975, his wife and several friends attended a swearing in ceremony for Scott to also become a citizen of Great Britain.
The ceremony followed a process which requires applicants to have an extensive knowledge of the history and background of Great Britain.
Henry has lived in England a number of years and has been married for 30 years to Jenny, a British citizen.
They have two grown children who enjoy being dual citizens of Great Britain and the United States.
Henry was recently awarded the prestigious 2016 Queen’s Award for Business in Great Britain.
He traveled to Buckingham Palace in July to receive this award from Queen Elizabeth.
Henry is the managing director of LA International, an executive recruiting service in England.
Dual citizenship will allow Henry and his wife to travel as British citizens.
They believe this tends to be a little bit safer during these times of turmoil in the Middle East.
Scott is the son of D. John Henry of Colfax and the late Agnes Henry.
After he graduated from Colfax High School, he earned his college degree from Eastern Washington University and was originally sent to England when he was employed with a Canadian computer company.
