Details for the 2017 Spokane Ag Expo photography contest have been announced.
The expo is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and photographers are asked to submit photos depicting “Agriculture in the Inland Northwest” by Nov. 21.
All photographs entered will be displayed at the Spokane Ag Expo at the Spokane Convention Center Complex Exhibit Hall Feb. 7-9, 2017.
Winning entries will receive cash prizes and ribbons for first, second and third place in the adult and youth categories. Youth are defined as 18 and younger. All entrants will receive two free tickets to the expo, which will be good for all three days.
In the adult category, first place will receive $150, second place $100 and third place $50. For youth, first place will receive $75, second place $50 and third place $25. Honorable mentions and director's choice winners will also be awarded ribbons.
Photos should be submitted in either color or black and white, with the minimum size being 8x10 inches and the maximum size being 11x14 inches. Photos must also be mounted. Framed photos will not be accepted. Entry forms must be attached to the back. Additionally, photos must also be submitted in high quality on a disc marked with the photographer's name and contact information.
Each contestant can submit up to four photos. The contestants will be judged based on theme, composition and creativity.
