McBride waves on EWU Eagles

Jack McBride, Colfax, waves the EWU flag for southbound motorists Friday at Firemen's Park on the south end of Colfax. A retired Colfax teacher and a 1967 graduate of Eastern, he received a mix of cheers and jeers from motorists who rolled through Colfax on the way to Saturday's WSU-EWU football game where the Eagles upset the Cougars 45-42.

“There are more Eagles around here than one would know, trust me,” he said. McBride returned to his flag waving site Saturday before the game. He brought along eight flags for the occasion so other Eagles could join him.
