Thursday, Sept. 8

ColfaxPalouse Empire Fair – The fun is in the air at the Palouse Empire Fair. Join the Whitman County Library at the fair booth just inside the Community Building and spin the Spinning Wheel to get a prize.

Tekoa – 4 p.m. – Women’s Social Hour – Come join in at the library and bring a project (knitting, crafting, or just come to visit.

Rosalia – 10:15 a.m. – noon – Play and learn - Center-based free play time at the library geared toward children under 6-years-old (but everyone is welcome.) It is also a great opportunity for parents and other caregivers to visit and support each other. The fun and engaging learning centers are STEAM based and designed to foster creativity, team-work, exploration and curiosity.

LaCrosse – 12:30 – 2 p.m. – Pie and Bingo - Join the library for a fun game of bingo, a slice of pie, and maybe win a great prize.

Tekoa – 6 p.m. – Attentive Parenting Classes – A six week program for parents with children age 2-6 to teach active parenting skills. Completers of the course will receive a book and incentive. Endicott – 10 a.m. – Adult Coloring - Here's your chance for a little coloring relaxation therapy. Materials are provided, feel free to bring your own and share too.

Albion & Endicott – Play and Learn – Play and Learn is a fun, intentional play time for young children, giving them a variety of opportunities to explore and grow while interacting with their peers. This time is also for parents and other caregivers to visit and share ideas about nurturing the growing minds in their care. Colfax & LaCrosse – Ice Age Floods Presentation – Join the Ice Age Floods Institute-Palouse Falls Chapter as they present "Changing the Course of the Palouse River" for this exciting talk to learn how stream capture during the floods diverted the Palouse River from Washtucna Coulee to its present day location.
