Noah Beach of Tekoa/Rosalia gets through to sack Wade Stevens of the Clark Fork Wampus Cats Friday.
Clark Fork Wampus Cats traveled south Friday for a big win over the Tekoa/Rosalia Timberwolves on the Rosalia turf. The Cats posted a 38-0 lead in the first half and bumped it to 44-0 after the break.
Final score was 44-6.
Clark Fork made the trip as one of the teams Tekoa/Rosalia has booked in the hunt for non-league foes for eight-man action.
Coached by Brian Arthun, the Cats are in the North Pend Orielle School District and arrived at Rosalia with 21 players.
Junior quarterback Wade Stevens hit some big shots against the Timberwolves with Brian Moore and Hunter Boudousquie as his favorite targets.
Senior back Noah Bova scored the first TD for the Cats on a short gain and scored the last TD of the half.
Stevens scored the Cats third TD on a sneak after hitting Moore on a streaker down the visitors' sideline to set it up.
Timberwolves' coach Scott Eaton credited Moore with making some big catches for the game.
The Timberwolves will be back at Rosalia Friday when they host Colton for the second clash of the season between the two county teams. Colton will arrive at Rosalia for the non-league clash with a 2-1 mark after defeating Wallace in a non-leaguer last week.
