Army vet Bill Hughes takes Honor Flight

Endicott resident Bill Hughes went on the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., Oct. 3 and returned home on Oct. 4.

He was in the Army from Jan. 1952 until Dec. 1953 and is a Korean War Veteran.

The group had guardians available for the veterans with wheel chairs to assist in the very busy two days.

Upon arrival, the schedule was as follows: Oct. 3: an evening banquet at the Hyatt Regency Chrystal City and a visit to the WWII and Air Force memorials.
