Colfax – 6 p.m. – The Hyde Out in Colfax and the library are hosting Trivia Night. Bring your team of up to six people, test your knowledge and win great prizes. Must be 21 or older to participate.
Friday, Oct. 14
Colfax – 4 to 7:30 p.m. – Rising Stars dance classes at The Center. Owner/instructor Keri Oldroyd is teaching fall classes for all ages. Visit the library Events Calendar for more information.
Saturday, Oct. 15
Rosalia – 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Cougar Coffee Refill Station Saturdays. On the way to the game, stop by the Rosalia branch to refill your coffee. GO COUGS!
Oakesdale – 5 p.m. – Bingo and Pie for all ages. Come to the library for some great company, a few games of Bingo and of course, PIE.
Monday, Oct. 17
LaCrosse and St. John – Free Medicare Help. Medicare plans need an annual review, as they change in cost and coverage every year. Join SHIBA volunteers Joyce and Daniel Leonard for free and impartial information tailored to meet the needs of current and future Medicare recipients. Colfax – 4 p.m. – Library Board Meeting, the Whitman County Library Board of Trustees generally meets the third Monday of every month at 4 p.m. in Colfax, occasionally dates, times and locations may change in order for the board to familiarize themselves with all 14 branches.
Tuesday, Oct. 18
St. John – 1 p.m. – Facebook marketing program to help you use social media to your best advantage. Call Clancy for more information at 509-648-3319.
Colfax – 6 to 7 p.m. – Positive Parenting for Challenging Behaviors. Karen Nelson from Families Together will teach part two of this great course, giving parents helpful tips and hands-on learning.
Wednesday, Oct. 19
Colfax – 2 p.m. – “Independent traveling – Do it your way” with Sharon and Monte Steiger. Learn the ins and outs of planning your trip after your destination has been chosen.
Garfield, LaCrosse, Oakesdale, St. John, and Tekoa – Early release fun at the library. Visit your branch or the Library Events Calendar to find out what fun activities the library will have after school.
Thursday, Oct. 20
Endicott – 7 p.m. – Ladies Night at the Library. Join us to discuss the book: "Nation" by Terry Pratchett. Feel free to bring a snack to share.
