Colton, Pomeroy, St. John/Endicott and LaCrosse/Washtucna/ Kahlotus picked up wins Tuesday on the SE volleyball circuit to stay in the hunt behind league-leading Oakesdale.
The Nighthawks, who pegged a three-game win over Touchet in the Thursday round, remain on top of the league with a 6-0 SE record.
Pomeroy remained in second place with a three-game win over the GP Vikings Tuesday on their home court with Kacey Halbert hitting seven kills and Sidney Smith rapping a 20-20 off the serve line.
Score for the Pirates' win was 25-7 25-7 ad 25-13.
Pomeroy in the Thursday round dropped Prescott 25-12 25-16 and 25-16.
Colton remained in the hunt with a three-game win over Waitsburg on the Colton court. That bumped the Wildcats record to 5-1 to remain tied behind the Nighthawks.
Colton Tuesday battled for a 26-24 in its third game to sweep the Cardinals. Scores for the first two games were 25-15 and 25-15.
Kendyl Druffel hit 12 kills, and Jordyn Moehrle put up 23 assists. Georgia Meyer had three blocks, and Abby Kelly hit four aces.
Colton, which will be at SJE tonight, had a bye in the Thursday round.
St. John/Endicott Tuesday took out Touchet in three games, 25-23 25-22 and 25-16. Jadyn Corder hit 11 kills and had a block and ace against the Indians. Other highlights for the Eagles were Hunter Hollingsworth, 8 digs, 5 kills, 2 aces; Riley Lamb, 3 aces; Glory Dickerson, 3 digs, 2 aces, 20 assists, and Caitlin Blumenshein, 6 kills, one ace.
The Eagles, now 3-3 in the league, waged a five-game enduro with Waitsburg in the Thursday round with the Cardinals taking the win on a 15-13 edge in the fifth game decider. They pulled out the win after the Eagles cranked up to tie it at 2-2 after trailing 0-2.
Line score for the first four games was 25-23 25-18 23-25 and 15- 25.
LaCrosse/Washtucna/Kahlotus moved its record to 4-3 on the week with a home win over Prescott Tuesday and a road win over Garfield/Palouse in the Thursday round.
They took out Prescott 25-13 25-13 and 25-9 with Britte Harder hitting 14 kills and Nicole Harder lofting 30 assists. Jazzmyn Gordon had three blocks for the Tigercats.
Thursday at Palouse, the Tigercats won in three, 25-11 25-10 ad 25-6.
In the third game, Nicole Harder went to the line with the score tied at 1-1 and served 17 straight.
