GERALDINE BLUMENSCHEIN
Funeral services for Geraldine Allen Blumenschein, 81, were Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Endicott. Burial followed at the Endicott Cemetery. Mrs. Blumenschein died last Friday morning, Oct, 14, 2016.
Born March 6, 1935, in Logan, Utah, to Joseph Murphy and Gail Wilson, she married Harvey Blumenschein Nov. 1, 1952.
They made the Endicott area their home for most of their married lives.
Geraldine spent her time as a homemaker but also owned and operated a preschool in Endicott.
She was a very active member in the Trinity Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting and reading, and she made it a point to walk at least three miles every day.
Geraldine also made hats for the pre-mature babies at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane and volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House in Spokane.
After Harvey's passing, she developed a passion for traveling and made trips to Hawaii, Mexico and all over the United States.
Surviving her are four daughters, Yvonne Yates, Barbara (Verne) Strader, Kathleen (William) Bergloff, and Jeanette Blumenschein; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Endicott and the Shriners Hospital in Spokane. On-line guest book:
